Stems serve emerging & global artists
Working with AudioShake

When Ibrahim Maali stumbled upon a trove of old records in Nairobi, Kenya, he immediately thought of ways to share it within the music community. Solidarity Studios was born out of the desire to disseminate art and music from other cultures and empower young artists with the tools to make their own.

Equipped with old vinyls and their licensing rights, Solidarity Studios used AudioShake to create stems. They not only wanted to mix them for digital release to preserve the unique works, but to build sample packs from them. These sample packs would become a part of Solidarity Studios remix competitions and Producer Spotlight Series, in which producers come together to collaborate, upskill, and exchange techniques and ideas, while producing new beats from these freshly discovered tracks.

Solidarity Studios continues to use AudioShake for both its distribution work and educational programming.

“AudioShake stems are helping us release digital albums of artists this next generation may have never discovered. Not to mention the sample packs that we’ve made with these stems are bringing entirely new lives to songs and powering our upskilling producer program.”
