Ortana Announces New Cubix Integration with AudioShake to Automate Audio Intelligence, Separation, and Archive Enrichment at Scale
Ortana Media Group today announced a new integration between its Cubix platform and AudioShake, enabling customers to automatically orchestrate media into AudioShake for advanced audio analysis and stem separation, and then seamlessly return the resulting outputs and metadata into downstream systems.
Built on Ortana’s Cubix Connect orchestration layer and powered by their Media Aware Workflow Engine (MAWE), the integration helps organisations remove manual steps from audio processing workflows, accelerate turnaround times, and unlock richer metadata for search, compliance, localisation, and content reuse.
“AudioShake is a brilliant example of a specialist technology that delivers immediate value when it’s connected into real-world media operations at scale. By integrating AudioShake with Cubix Connect and our Media Aware Workflow Engine, we’re enabling customers to automatically orchestrate content into AudioShake for audio separation, lyric transcription and compliance checks, and then route the resulting stems and metadata straight back into their MAM, archive, or downstream workflows. It’s a practical way to enrich libraries in bulk, reduce manual effort, and make audio intelligence usable across the wider ecosystem.” Simon Harper, Channel & Partner Manager, Ortana Media Group
Orchestrate media into AudioShake and bring results back automatically
With this integration, Cubix can ingest content from on-premise storage, cloud platforms, MAM/DAM systems, and archive environments, then automatically trigger AudioShake processing based on workflow templates, rules, or event-driven automation.
Once processing is complete, Cubix collects the outputs and intelligence from AudioShake and routes them back into the customer ecosystem, including derived audio assets, separated stems, and associated metadata, ensuring results are available wherever teams need them, without manual handoffs.
Key use cases enabled by the Cubix + AudioShake integration
Broadcast archive compliance and localisation workflows
For broadcasters and archive owners, the integration supports powerful audio separation workflows designed to improve accessibility, reuse, and regulatory confidence. This includes:
- Removing background audio to isolate cleaner speech
- Extracting clean dialogue stems for improved intelligibility
- Multi-speaker separation to support downstream processing and editorial use
- Enabling compliance and localisation workflows where dialogue clarity is critical
- Supporting checks to determine whether audio remains in licence for reuse or distribution
Lyric transcription and explicit audio tagging
Media teams can automatically generate lyric transcriptions from music or mixed audio tracks, then review and flag content for explicit lyrics. Cubix can capture the results from AudioShake and apply tags back into the MAM/DAM, ensuring content is appropriately labelled for editorial, brand safety, or distribution compliance.
This workflow reduces the reliance on manual review, speeds up content readiness, and helps teams apply consistent standards across large libraries.
Enrichment at archive scale (bulk processing across libraries)
Both lyric transcription/explicit tagging and broadcast archive separation workflows can be applied en masse across large content libraries - including deep archive and LTO-based collections.
Cubix enables teams to run these processes at scale, with scheduling, monitoring, and automation logic that supports high-volume workloads without overwhelming operational teams. This makes it practical to enrich entire archives, standardise metadata, and prepare content for reuse, repurposing, or monetisation.
By automating these tasks through Cubix, organisations can move from ad-hoc processing to repeatable, scalable workflows that improve archive value and reduce operational risk.
“Ortana's Cubix integration shows what's possible when audio separation technology is embedded directly into media workflows. With Cubix automating the orchestration layer, AudioShake’s audio separation and transcription capabilities can now reach the enormous volume of untapped content sitting in broadcast and media archives–at scale and without adding manual overhead. This turns audio separation from a one-off task into a standard part of media operations." Jessica Powell, CEO, AudioShake
Designed for scale, reliability, and ecosystem automation
The AudioShake integration is part of Ortana’s broader strategy to help customers build connected, end-to-end workflows across the media technology stack. With over 160+ API integrations supported through Cubix, customers can extend AudioShake driven workflows into storage, archive, MAM/DAM, AI enrichment services, and delivery platforms - all orchestrated through a single automation layer.
AudioShake now available via Ortana’s Cubix platform
The Cubix integration with AudioShake is available now. Customers can engage with Ortana Media Group to explore workflow templates and deployment options for audio separation, transcription, enrichment, and archive-scale automation.
